Hey,  I am so sorry I have missed everyone's birthday.  Happy B Day to all.  I hope you had a ton of presents and cake.  Jen have such a good time with your wedding, I can't believe it is here already.
I got another denial from SSD but this time was horrible.  THey stated their doctor's decided that I should have never been on disability to start with.  Now I am worried that Hartford my long term will make a case out of this and want four years of payments back.  I have jumped through their hoops for all of this time.  Of course I got the letter on Fri so I coulnd't call the lawyer I am using.  THis will probably be one of the worst things in my life.
I wish I could work.  I wish the tests showed more....  I haven't even been able to sit at the computer to post with my back but I do think about you all daily and hope all is well, love grama deb

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the SSD system.  All I can say is I hope everything works out well for you in the end!  I believe the key is being persistent to those things which means the most to you. Don't let them break your hope.  They want you to give up fighting, that's their job.  Stay strong and keep after this, OK?  File for an appeal, until you find someone that understands your case.  As for your past disability payments, I don't think they are allowed to take away old payments you received....cross that hurdle if/when it comes, OK?  I don't really understand the logistics of their system, but it seems unreasonable for that to happen.  Perhaps someone else can confirm?

Hang in there, and thanks for the good wedding wishes! :)

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I wonder if their doctor makes money from denials.  You wouldn't have to pay it back, I'm sure.

Hugs.

They would have to have a case against you for fraud before they could go after you for any payments they've made to you, I believe, hon.  So as long as you haven't knowingly told them any lies or misreprsented anything, you'll be OK.  So relax.

They do this sort of thing all the time.  I think they do it just to get the lawyer more time so they can increse their kickbacks when they do award you more money.

As you can tell, I don't have a lot of respect for the SS beauracracy.  So much of what they do seems so capricious and arbitrary.

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan
