Today was the big "hoop-de-doo" with all of the salesmen, big fish, muck-a-mucks and hoity-toitys' touring our shop. We were all dressed in our finest professional corporate duds, the entire building is a spick-and-span as I ever remember it and we were all on our best behavior. - cept me, of course. I was yukking it up with the exec-types and making the situation light and fun. Too many stuffed shirts all full of themselves posturing for my taste. We didn't get to finish the remodel of the office and shop, but given the fact we did what we did in two weeks it looks impressive. The business owner handed out kudos and thank yous' to those of us who put in so many long days. Then we feasted! And what a feast! Goodwoods (a local resturant) catered a BBQ banquet with beef, pork, 'tater salad, baked beans, salad, brownies - - - - - - ooooh! Screw the diet! Now we have to go back to "work" - work. Pfeww. That is great that all your hard work was appreciated. Not so bad slaving away when you get kudo's from the boss!

Sure you're glad the 'royal visit' is going to be finished after today. It's awful the way they try to clean up and fix things just because they are coming though...it should be that way all the time! Glad you got 'kudos' from the bosses, too, you deserve it, Adam....you put in long hours, and lots of hard work. Hope you enjoyed your 'banquet', too....and you're right....to heck with the diet....for now...lol. Take care...and take care of YOU. Hope your body didn't hurt too much more after all that cleaning, primping, etc. Heck, it probably took you longer to clean up YOU....just kidding ya!!! Good job, Adam!! Hugz, Dee  |

Sounds like you had quite a day, what the heck special circumstances deserve a break from that old diet. Been there and done that too many times my scales says. Have a good day. lots of love gramanan |
