I just wanted to take a moment to give thanks for the heat I am enjoying! LOL, some of the older members know that heat was something that came and went in my life these last few years. I spent most of the last winters tucked away in a room under blankets and with small electric heater trying to stay warm enough! As much my fault as anyone's due to my own choices too folks, so don't pity me too deeply here. But one thing I can say on a positive note, it was well worth getting up to go do farm chores and enjoy the heater of that old truck! Blessings come in funny places and with the situation, it got me warm and exercised! And it all made some very fond memories and there is no end to the amount of things I learned! As I said, blessings can come in many forms and from the strangest of events and situations.
So as I prepare to suit up and go meet this very cold and snowy day, I wish to thank God and a special angel who looks over me for this gift and blessing of heat! My trailer, humble but a castle all the same, is warm and toasty! What a blessing and joy it is too! To be able to feel the need to turn down the heat instead of wishing I had some heat to turn up is just an awesome feeling of joy!
I am thinking deeply of those who go without completely too! So with the upcoming holidays, don't forget to give where and when you can. Don't think of the dollars in your wallets, but instead think of that change rattling around in your pockets that you end up picking up out of the inside of the washer! Each time you go out and throw out that 20 or 30 cents it won't seem like much, but by the end of the day, those pennies add up, oh how they add up! Teach the children to do the same too! Pennies and nickles, throw out a few dimes too. You can keep your quarters if you like but pitch that change into whatever is available folks.
Warmth is a blessing, not a right or a priviledge! A blanket to wrap up in can be a luxery and warm air that blows thru a vent into shelter is heaven on earth! A kind and warm gentle wind that should remind one of God who sends those warm Spring winds to warm the earth and wake it from slumber! So as we enjoy, let us not forget to give those warm Spring winds to others!
