Hi Kalia, and welcome to the group. I'm half way done reading all the posts I'm on thread 14 out of 22...lol, so I thought I'd go ahead and reply to your post.
Most of the replies I read so far have already mentioned which I would say the same. I understand completely you going through the withdrawls they are hellish. I have went through them before. I found over-the-counter pain relievers relieve the aches and pains, now I'm not saying that the OTC medicine will help the chronic pain, this will help you go through the withdrawl symptom aches & pains, which is a temporary fix until you get your painkillers. Try Extra Strength Advil, Tylenol, or Motrin, etc.
Since you don't have a doctor right now, going to the emergency room isn't a bad idea because when you get in the ER and you get waited on, and they ask you have a primary physican, tell them that you don't. If they ask you "why" which I don't think the receptionist would...just tell him/her "I had my reasons." Do not volunteer more information than the doctor needs to know you never know it will backfire on you. You'll be appointed a new doctor. So while this is going on, you'll get a appointment with a new doctor and have your medical records transferred to the new doctor. Then in the meantime you'll be able to get your hands on your medical records. Sound like a plan?
I know this because several years ago I was in a similar position to where I didn't have a doctor, so I was appointed one when I was discharged from the ER.
Yes, keep a log on your pain level. I have back problems myself, a pinched nerve and have crooked spine due to scolosis.
I've read all entries of what all our caring and concerned members replied to your posts, I sure hope and Pray that everything goes a HELL lot better with the new doctor! My heart goes out to you, Kalia {{{{Hugs}}}}
Please, let us know how things go on your first appointment with the new doctor...I read that you have a appointment set...Bravo!
Hang in there hon, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Love,
Andrea
