Hello I have a disease called Lupus that has taught me that life is very precious and I have learned to live each day as it comes. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1995 but the drs. feel that I have had it all my life and my pregnancy's brought it into full flare. I have had many near death experiences and have had more surgeries, procedures, and tests that I care to remember.I have developed fibromyalgia, raynauds syndrome, seizures, neuropathy, arthiritis, nerve damage, gastritis, reflux, and have had so many internal organs removed because of the effects of this disease. I live with chronic pain everyday but know that if I want to try to enjoy life with my two teenagers, I have to rest more then usual and take care of me.I have enjoyed reading all the great information on this sight. Thank you so much for letting me join. Allie

Hello Allie, nice to meet you.  Sorry that we are having to meet under these circumstances though.  PAIN!!!!!
Yuck.  The origin of my pain is in my left arm.  I have a pinched radial nerve and suffer from neuropathy (burning feeling inside my arm) and have had 5 surgeries between both arms and shoulders.  This all due to repetitive stress injuries sustained while working as a medical transcriptionist.  I am currently disabled.

I look forward to getting to know you better.  Come on over to the general board and dive on  in there with anything you want or need to say or ask.  We will do our best to help you in any way possible.

Hello, Allie.  Welcome to the family.  I'm Dan one of the managers here.

Lupus is just an ugly disease, as you well know.  Over time it just ravages the body.  That said, it sounds as though you're also a typical Lupus patient in that you're keeping hold of the positive in life and trying to keep a good attitude.  That's half the battle.

Over on the left is a wealth of information on chronic pain.  Let us know if you have any questions.  OK?

Healing hugs and lots of love,

Dan
