Hi All,
My name is JoLene, 44 yrs old, married to a terrific guy and I have a 17 yr old DD.  I was finally told about 3 years ago that I have chronic pain in my hands.  That was after I went to all of the specialist here in Omaha and ended up going to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.  Where they ran all of the tests that I had already had done.  I was finally declared disabled as the more I use my hands the worse the pain gets as I am sure that many of you know. 
 
I can't wait to get to know all of you.  I have you all in my prayers.

Hi Jolene!  My name is tomcat (aka debra) and I'm one of the "resident painers" here.  My disabling condition is also my hands.  I sustained repetitive stress injuries from many, many years of typing medical transcription.  What is the origin of your hand pain?  I've had 5 surgeries between the 2 upper extremities.   And now I live in chronic pain.  So sorry that you are suffering as well.
 
Please be sure to check out all the good info in the pale blue column there on your left.  You'll find all sorts of great information.  Also, we sort'a live on the "General" board so you might find more stuff going on in there.  I don't think everyone checks the members bios that often.  I know I do so only hit and miss myself.  Looking forward to seeing you in our conversations.
