Quick shot is right, Kirk... I'm impressed with the quality of your photos! I don't see any blurring... what kind of cam are you using?
I haven't been to the rodeo in a long time but I loved it when I was younger... that and the auto races. As much as I love horses though, I don't ride... guess I knew all along my daughter would break her back thanks to them... and I didn't want to precede her!
It must be difficult to have been so physically active... and being reduced to taking photos of the action instead of being part of it. But being able to watch... and join in the fun even a little is better than staying home and sulking, isn't it?
I don't know you 'from before'..... I'm very new myself... but, welcome back anyway!

Most of those were takin with an Olympus E-Series Digital that I wore out. I average 500 to 700 pictures an event. Thanks to digital I can afford that    I can just delete what I don't want  and store the rest on my PC.
Film costs too much to develop
Now I use a Canon Rebel Xt
I can't afford the one I really need or should I say want, lust after, crave,.....  LOL
a D-1 ($8,000) just for the body LOL
but thanks for the compliment on my pics
you must have trouble sleeping like me   this was posted a 1 AM PST and you answered it almost immediatly

Yeah, I don't sleep well, usually up till 3 or 4 anyway, last 'night'  was 7:30 this morning, but I wasn't online quite all that time... LOL I take 21mg of Melatonin and 30mg of Restoril every night... and it doesn't always help. I have never been good at sleeping, and it has gotten worse over the last few months. Pain doesn't help... and stress makes it worse.
My father was really into photography when I was a kid... had a studio in the basement... all the chemicals. As he got older, he lost interest (he always lost interest) and got into leather tooling, then woodworking. He has always been pretty good at stuff... you should see the amount of slides we have! I love the digitals... I have a relatively cheap one but I love what it does. I get pretty good pics from it. I do have a couple different photoshop type programs and I love seeing what I can do to photos... but I am not very good at it.
You sound like you have your dream (camera) machine... like I have my dream (computer) machine as well! If I could only afford it!
