Hi Everyone,

I go once a month to a pain management center, and I cannot begin to tell you how much they have helped me.  I have heard from others some "not so good" stories, however, I am very happy with the one that I go to.

I receive trigger point injections for my fibromyalgia and muscle spasms.

I also have a procedure done every 3 - 6 months called "Pulsed Radiofrequency Neurotomy" where they actually burn the nerves in my neck.  This is done mainly for my chronic migraines.

Don't get me wrong.  If I had a medication that helped me, I wouldn't have to go through this procedure.  Unfortunately, it seems every medication that does help me is not covered by my insurance.

I have a lousy GP who doesn't care to take the extra time to get it approved.  So I am left with only this option.

I have been going to the same place for 4 years, and I have yet to have a complaint.  If you try one you are not happy with, try another.  Mine has been a very positive experience for me, and has lessened my pain a great deal.

Can you tell me a little bit about this Pulsed Radiofrequency Neurotomy? My daughter has horrible migraines and we have been looking for something to help her since many times she goes through her arsenal of meds and nothing works and then she misses work, sometimes one or two days every other week, which you know is not good when you want to keep your job! What kind of doctor does it for you? Does your insurance cover it? Thanks for any info. I am also going to put it in a search engine to find out what I can on my own. Toughhummingbird
