I have nerve pain on the right side of my head due to a recent bought of shingles. The doctor wanted me to take Neurontin, but I am scared of it after reading all the side effects listed. I have heard that antidepressants like Elavil or Cymbalta help with nerve pain and would like to know if anyone has had any success with these medications. I am depressed as well so maybe they would help both things. I have some samples of the Cymbalta and tried one pill and it made me feel sick, but I am told that these side effect go away after your body adjusts to the medicine. Any success stories with either of these medications. Thanks |

I am on Cymbalta for nerve pain and depression. I have complex
regional Pain syndrome. I also take keppra , which is along the same line
as neurontin for that as well. If you have any questions feel free to
email me.
