Serquel has been a blessing in my life because I suffer from anixety and post tramatic stress disorder. It has help calm those in me.I even think my depression is more a symptom of anixety then just plain clinical depression. It has helped with panic attacks and helps me sleep all night really good for that............................Wisejester1

Hi I'm new here at Chronic Pain!! Have you found that you have gained weight on the Seroquel??  I've been on it a year or more and I weigh over 200lbs.  This happened after I started taking Seroquel!! It helped me in all the areas you mentioned, but the weight is unhealthy!! My Cholesterol and triglycerides are way up now!! Let me know if you gain weight!!  Love and ((((HUGS)))) Midnight Owl

i didn't gain weight I have been heavy my whole life, but have had a hell of  a time losing... but going for gastric bypass june 3 2008.  I take 800mg of seroquel for my PTSD - without out I WOULD NOT SLEEP EVER... my trauma comes back at night - in the cover of darkness (I  would force myself to stay awake for days on end with my meds)...

My depression is not that bad, but I am agoraphobic so I use my seroquel at night, and my ativan 3 times a day.

I realize you are going to flip when you realize how much seroquel I take, but I am a rape and abuse survivor and without my seroquel - I would have killed myself by now... I am not afraid of the men that hurt me by day, but by night - I relive those days over and over... in fact, even with the medication that does LET ME SLEEP IN PEACE, I still have to have the light on.

what i meant was i would stay awake for days on end - if I couldn't take my seroquel and my ativan to sleep... sorry for the confusion.

when i was in prison i was on 200mg morning, 200mg afternoon, and 800 at night... that was alot.  but now I just take it at night.
