Eat a banana.  They're a good souce of potassium.  So is Kiwi.  So are raisins and prunes.  Also, you can get some terrific potassium rich drinks at the health food store, which are much easier on your stomach.

You can also drink a Gatorade.  They're very high in potassium.

The other medications are all blood pressure meds, if I'm not mistaken.

* Norvasc - for hypertension and angina
* Rhoxal-Bisoprolol - Unknown.  I can't find this drug anywhere.
* Novohydrazide - is for hypertension
* Altace - (Generic is Rampiril) is used for hypertension, heart failure, kidney failure secondary to hypertension

So except for the Rhoxal-Bisoprolol, they're all for high blood pressure all right, and also for any heart/kidney problems you might get into secondary to having high blood pressure.

Side effects are similar for all of them.  Lethargy is the biggest one.  You're taking low doses of each, but between the three, that's a lot of anti-hypertension drugs.  And I still don't know what the Rhoxal-Bisoprolol is for...  I just can't find it.  It must be a new drug or something.

Anyway, those are my comments, hon.  It looks like those drugs should be able to control your blood pressure.  If it's not controlled with those, I would think by increasing any one of them you should be able to obtain control.  If not, then increase another, then another.  Then start all over.  Does that make sense?  Well, do what your doctor tells you.  He/she seems to know what he/she is doing.

Lots of love and healing hugs,

Dan

I do not take the same meds for my BP as you do.
But the Potassium does upset my stomach too.
So, I just east a bananna or two every day.
I put that on my shopping list and there we go.

Hi, Edele.  Are you new here?  I meant to ask you yesterday but I got so tired I couldn't post any more so I quit and went to bed.  I'm gonna feel really silly if somewhere out in this board there's a long thread welcoming you to the family.  If so, I missed it.  Maybe I'll find it in a minute.  LOL  Meanwhile, welcome again.

I'm Dan one of the managers here.  That doesn't mean much.  Mostly that means everyone gets to yell at me and trash my house when we have a party.  (My hot tub still burps a couple soap bubbles every now and then from the last one.  LOL )

I see you're going back through a lot of the old threads.  As you can tell, we just sort of let it hang out here.  Everyone is welcomed equally and there aren't many rules.  Treat everyone like you would like to be treated.  Don't try to sell anything.  And that's about it.  I think there's more, but that's what it boils down to.  Everything is over on the left.  Click those links to find out about the site, your managers, and much more.

Let us know if you have any questions, OK?

Lots of love and healing hugs,

Dan

I forgot the six pills of Wellchol, and one of Lopid, I kind of suspect it is what has caused my severe back pain.
