I'm sorry that you have need of us... but glad you found us... this is a very supportive group of caring individuals... everyone here has a different cause, but everyone has chronic, and acute pain. We do understand what you are going through.
Wish I could help you with a doc... my husband is in Yellowknife, but he just recently moved there and doubt he has any connections, especially in the medical world... and not knowing Canada, I don't know how close that is to you anyway.
I am fortunate as far as pain meds go... my doc has no trouble ordering anything I want... but, I have advanced cancer and he is an oncologist. His question each appt is always 'is your pain under control, are your meds working?' That surely helps. Hopefully, someone in the group can help direct you to a pain doc close by.
I am familar with your disease... it is pretty darned painful and it sounds like you have had a pretty rough way to go... hopefully it will get better for you soon.
Give us updates, OK? I'll keep you in my prayers...
