My doctor and pharmacist explain, Ultram is a narcotic-like pain reliever. As explained in many websites
 
Ultracet is an analgesic combination. It works in certain areas of the brain and nervous system to decrease pain. The combination may provide better pain relief than either medicine alone.
 
Ultracet and Ultram is basically the same...some doctors decide what is best on our condition.
