Ya know . . . I don't usually buy books online . . . I'm one of those that like to touch the books & read a little bit before I decide to buy . . . but I was desperate for somemore Salvartore . . . actually I was desperate for Drizzt ( I want him to come live at my house, I want him to help me with the laundry,   I want him to sit on my couch so I can look at him . . . whoops, I'm getting alittle carried away, huh?   haha) so I went to Amazon & ordered a couple collections . . . I'm cheap, so I went for the free shipping. . . it said 5-9 bus. days . . . ok, I can wait that long . . . low & behold, my books came TODAY!!  I ordered them at 1:00 am on the 2nd & here they were at noon today the 4th. . . I was stunned to say the least . .  . usually when a business says 5-9 days, it's atleast that long, if not longer . . . so . . . I am a happy camper!!  Whoopie, Drizzt is here at last . . .   Magic Lizzy

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!  Are you in for a treat!!!

I just picked up Paths of Darkness, 1166 pages of Drizzt goodness.  LOLOL  So I'm a happy camper too.  I'm reading my David Weber first.  Honorverse first always.

The "Honorverse" is what we David Weber fans call the universe where Honor Harrington lives.  Honor Harrington is a heroine out of a Star Wars type saga, only she has no force powers, only her own courage, conviction and sense of duty and yes, honor.  She's just awesome.  She leads by example, and her people all respond magnificently, following her into combat against impossible odds, where her skill, knowledge and courage are tested again and again and are always found more than adequate for the job,  She wins and survives to fight another day, albeit somewhat beat up each time.  By now, she's got an artificial arm and hand, and an artificial eye.  But hey, she's still beautiful.

LOL  Anyway, there's some 10 books on her and they're all great, with terrific political commentary as well as wonderful physics and science and outstanding character developement.  Yup, gotta read David Weber first.  THEN Drizzt.  LOLOL

Hugs and lots of love,

Dan

I forget the name of it though (actually I've blocked it out of memory) . . . not sure of want him killed off . . . that would be worse than when Salvatore killed off Elbryan alias Nightbird in the DemonWars Saga . . . cried like a baby .  . . boohoo . . . I hate it when they kill off the main character that I have come to love . . . Haven't read any of David Weber. . . sounds interesting. . . will have to put it on my list . . . I spend so much $ on books!!  It's the only excitement I have all day . . . other peoples lives in books. . . ha . . . since I no longer have a life of my own . . . especially living in the toolies . . . Hugs, Magic Lizzy

Well, it's actually R.A. Salvatore that writes the books about Drizzt . . . and they are wonderful stories!  If you're into wizards & dragons, good vs. evil and those kinds of things . . . Drizzt is a dark elf that left his home underground (waaaay underground) because his beliefs in life are different from the other dark elfs-they are evil and nasty . . . he is beautiful & wonderous, enjoying life, not death . . . haha. . . can you tell I really like this character?  Along Drizzt's path to the world above, he meets interesting friends & some not so friendly . . . the books go on then to his life where the sun shines & he meets people of like mind & they become a bonded group . . . they have all kinds of interesring adventures with Drizzt . . . dark elf, human woman, dwarf, barbarian & a halfling, all travel their world fighting evil. . . such wonderful stories that I have read all of the many books twice now . . . and plan to read them again, and again . . . the reading order I recommend is:
The Dark Elf Trilogy - Homeland
                            Exile
                            Sojourn
The Icewind Dale Trilogy - The crystal Shard
                                Streams of Silver
                                The Halfling's Gem
Legacy of the Drow - The Legacy
                          Starless Night
                           Siege of Darkness
                           Passage to Dawn
Paths of Darkness - The Silent Blade
                          The Spine of the World
                          Servant of the Shard
                          Sea of Swords
The Hunter's Blade Trilogy - The Thousand Orcs
                                   The Lone Drow
                                   The Two Swords
Enjoy!!  Magic Lizzy
