This is a great book! I just read "Mrs. Mike" by Benedict and Nancy Freedman. It's a true story about a teenaged girl who is sent to the dry climate of her Uncles Calgary home to help her recover from pluerisy. She marries an RCMP officer, and they move to a rugged settlement in the far northern Canada.

But as she decides to follow Mike no matter what, she also begins a relationship of love and hate with a pitiless and beautiful country...
