I was out surfing the internet and came across a sight that peeked my interest for a few things so I checked it out. It was an open board you didn't have to join to view it. Boy, did I get a surprise and am so pissed off. I found so much of my stuff on this board and half of the board was set up like mine. I peeked further and found the managers name!! It was an ex Diva!!! I am really boiling now. This member quit within the past year but had been with us a good while. She quit because she had ""NO TIME"" for the boards anymore!!! What a lie! She stole my work and set up several boards of her own. I have never done this before and did not hesitate one bit, I reported her to MSN. If they follow through checking her board, my dates of work, etc they will find she infringed upon my rights and her boards will be deleted. I am so mad! I would love to read her the riot act but will sit back and let MSN take care of her and let her figure out what hit her butt!! Ok, I've vented now!! LOL!!!! |

You have every reason to be upset Angelbear. You have spent many hours making Divas a great board and to have things like that happen.  I can guess a few names as to who it might be but................. adair P.S. Remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. |

It's better to let MSN take care of it. I can't imagine doing that to another group. You have done so much work for us. bonnie |

Angelbear, that is just SAD!! But I really think you did the right thing reporting it to MSN rather than just letting this woman have it. Although I think I would still be tempted to do just that even AFTER reporting it. Keep your chin up. Bernadette |

My first thought is exactly what Adair said earlier...."imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Then .....how sad....that this person has so very little originality and creativity that she must steal from others and claim as her own. I feel a group....any group......is only as good as its members. I have been with this group a long time, and with very few exceptions, this group has steadily maintained a base of members of good and strong character.....due in no small part to your dedication and constant vigilance to that very thing. And that is something that is impossible to steal. After the initial frustration and anger (which you are absolutely entitled to...especially since this is an ex member).....I hope you can view it that way and laugh it off.  |

Thanks everyone. I am OK with it all now, just had to vent. It is a form of flattery when one copies your work for sure. If I had been asked I would have said yes most likely or told them to change a few things and make it "theirs." I always ask if I see something on ones board and want to use it. Most board owners are pretty good about it as long as they are asked. Rubi- It was a member WAY before your time here. Sometimes we get some members that just don't fit in. Those usually leave in time on their own or by me removing them for some reason. Penny- you are right. Members are what makes a group work or break. Divas has a wonderful group of ladies. |

I have no use for people that pretend to be a friend, then stab you in the back. It is just horrible that this person would use what somebody has put their heart and soul into to make Diva's a great place to talk and meet new friends. I definitely hope that MSN will take care of this for you, Angelbear. Darlene |

got to vent too .... one of my members just added porn then I deleted her with an email saying why? then she had the cheek to join another friends board so I wrote to her and asked that they keep an eye on her too. wow ! back she comes at me again . more porn !so now I've changed my board so she cant get in . the other board has banned her too as she added the same on to hers . now I let them hang around for a while so if they come again asking to join that means they do mean to join and adhere to the rules . When my board was restarted Angelbear helped with graphics and the like . still use them so credits go to her . Annie .. so if you get on my board you know It's a reciprocal thing with a manager helping another manager . ta Angelbear  |

 Did the person who pinched your stuff also include DIVA in the group name? Also I've browsed a lot of the open sites and yours is way out there!!!!! Anne |

Actually I got the expression "way out there " from my teenage grandchildren it means really great...smart...cool ect. Re the diva site ,there were a couple of sites I noticed with the word Diva included in their name.Sorry cant remember where now. |

You knowk, I never have figured out how people do these things, so I am lost in this conversation. Do you mean they steal you siggies? I'm sorry this happened to you because I know how much work you put into this board and it wouldn't be fair for someone to take it over. But, like I said, I don't understand what they do. I guess I just don't understand because it isn't something I would be able to do so I don't see why anyone would do it. Does that make sense? Hmmmm....I think I am tired and tipsy! |
