My great grandfather John Michael Freeman c1847 was born Roscommon Ireland according to english census. On his marraige certificate to Mary Ann Howitt (Nee Lee)in 1881 in Salford has his fathers name was Patrick Freeman.( farmer) I think they were Catholic according to family.John And Mary Ann had one son called John Henry Freeman.1886.Does anyone know how i can find JMF baptism in Ireland or information aboout his parents living in Ireland.I was told many of his family moved to America but dont know who or when.Has anyone got any ideas.??

Hi Dizzy,One suggestion is to contact General Registers office in Rosscommon.LINK is on site,If you Ring them Ask them to run a search for you.As you wish to buy cert. You can buy a full cert Or a copy .Because of Dates you should be able to get one.Or alternative is to contact the Churches In the area. You can get one from them.Or fill the Form in On registry site

With The american ones,You would really need to know Who went there.Or its like trying to find a needle in a haystack. If you have family That would Know Contact them to see if any names can be given.
