This is what I've found so far, but I am still looking. Toolbar or Color Palette Not Visible in Paint The information in this article applies to: This article was previously published under Q159804 IMPORTANT: This article contains information about editing the registry. Before you edit the registry, you should first make a backup copy of the registry files (System.dat and User.dat). Both are hidden files in the Windows folder. SYMPTOMSWhen you are using Paint, the toolbar or color palette may not be visible even though you have chosen the corresponding command on the View menu. Removing and reinstalling Paint does not correct the problem. CAUSEThis behavior can occur when you move the toolbar or color palette so that it appears in a separate window, and then either of the following events occurs: - You move the toolbar or color palette so that it is hidden behind the Windows 95 taskbar.
- You move the toolbar or color palette to the bottom or right edge of the screen and then configure Windows 95 to use a lower resolution. When you do so, the toolbar or color palette may be located on an area of the desktop that is not visible.
RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, use one of the following methods: |

Here's the first reply: The window is probably off screen. And the second: Try pressing(on the keyboard) CTRL + T
If that don't work, try using system restore if you know when the problem began, and choose a restore point before that. Hope this helps. Let me know if these help! mrsgkr |

Kathy, You are very welcome. I know what you mean about the computer being an important tool in your life. I have had mine for a year and a half and I HAVE to be on it at least once a day. I honestly can't remember what it was like before I got it. (LOL) I will help you in any way I can. I, myself, am more of a hardware person. I am versed on programs, but I know more about the working components of the computer than I do the software. I am glad to be able to help anyone I can. I will keep you in mind when I need some $$$. (LOL again. Just kidding) mrsgkr |
