This foot surgery and the infection really affected me a lot. I have been very ill ever since the surgery was done, I know it now. I had a blood panel done resently and the result shocked me and my doc.

The good news is that I am free from the infection now, the cut has healed and yesterday I could get my new shoes! I have been jumping on one leg till now with the help of a vehicle which I don't know the English name of. People were wondering why I have only one shoe. I told them I am so poor I can' afford using the both at the same time. Ha ha ha! Anyhow I am very happy for my new shoes as they are comfy and look good. Now I can touch the floor with my both feet.

Jumping on one leg for months has hurt my back and neck. I have a terrible pain which is not leaving me for a minute. The back is like an open abscess and sencitive for a gentle touch. It's so hard to sit in front of the computer and work, I just can't stand out with the increasing pain. This is the reason why I have not been visible here for so long.

I had my first Remicade treatment since January one week ago. Maybe the blood panel test will show up better results next time. I hope these treatments will help me as before.

Enough for now. Hope to be back again soon.

Hello again, Maikki! So sorry to hear that you have had a lot more trouble, but thank Goodness, things seem to be settling down. Funnily enough, for the last couple of months I have been wearing only one shoe - on my left foot - so I can walk reasonably straight. The surgeon who is going to replace my left hip eventually, I hope, suggested only one shoe. I spent a couple of weeks in hospital in the middle of May while the Doctors tried to do something with my pain management - I was in a rather bad way. I have osteo arthritis plus the Rheymatologist thinks I have poly mialgia. I have to have a lot of blood tests in a couple of weeks and go back to see him on August 13. Ho Hum. I walk now with what we call here a "wheelie walker" - four wheels two handles and usually a seat as well and it folds fairly flat to fit into a car boot. I feel a lot more secure with that instead of a walking stick.

Oh Bren! Will you have a surgery on your hip soon? It would change your life for the better, believe me. I hope you will have a relief from all that pain soon.

I too have a wheele walker and now as I finally got my new shoes after more than five months of hopping, it's so much easier to move on.

I am still considering to have these red high heels.... though I might fall futher than Kansas in these. Ha ha ha!

It seems I am not quite ready with my foot. It is swollen and hurts especially at the end of the day. I think it is the heat. We have a period of heat, +30 C. No good for any high heels in red now! ;D

hi maikki,

+30° is warm, i always thought sweden would be cooler than that. we have winter here (on the Gold Coast Australia) with temperatures ranging from +10°C at night, to +22 - 25°C during the day.

well i hope the remicade continues to work for u. have u ever thought of putting your feet alternately in hot & cold water for pain relief? it may also help you.

hi maikki its nice to see you back and your foot getting better after surgery sorry weve not been around both me lynn have had flu then got bad chest infections on top that just feeling better now ollie jerry playing in garden dogs great cindy lynns puppy goes for walks now comes back to recall shes real little collie dog loves rounding cats up but there best friend lucy shes 17 but still loves a short walk bunnys great lynns pony as been showing doing great its our 19th wedding anniversary on monday so off out for meal have great night sweet dreams derek lynn kits dogs bunny pony here in uk

Hi friends! Glad to see you Derek since it is a long time ago when we spoke.

I am posting this from Skane where I have my rehab during some weeks. My foot is still a trouble. It is swollen and fluid is wetting my socks. Anyhow I have a good program here.

The weather is unstabil, we are expecting bad rain and winds from England. It's different during spring and summer. I wish I could have come here earlier.

I am using Thabita's acount to keep it activated.
