G'day people,

I'm looking to make a little addition to my Geocities website, which I hope will involve members who have joined the QS-MSN community testifying as to worth of join said community.

I would appreciate if you would write a short paragraph extolling the virtue of joining the QS-MSN community, and I may (if you extol loudly enough) place your recommendation on a "Testimonial Page" - with the aim of trying to recruit ex-pupils who may (for what ever reason) be hesitant to join.

Please feel free to rant about anything you like ...

Cheers Mike

(PS the management reserve the right to ignore crap recommendations)

I highly recommend the Q.S. site to anyone who attended Quantock, at any time.
I attended Q.S. from 1966 to 1970 and since then I have had little or no news of Quantock or friends.  Now with this site, I can receive messages with news of what happened since I left.
Chris Julian and Andrew Willie, if you ever read this meesage, I hope you join so to keep in touch.

Excellent site - wonderful to be able to catch up with friends after so long - so many of us have good and bad memories of the place and our time there took up a good part of lives, that being able to share memories and catch up is important. Reading through all the old stories is hilarious as I had forgotten so much of what went on.

Thanks for a fabulous site! I was entertained at QS from 73 to 77 but those 4 short years haunted me and had an influence on my behaviour with outsiders...There is a massive potential community out there so contact them and bring them on! Thanks for a great job Blakey and all!

After over ten years of only being in touch with a couple of people from my year I am now able to get in touch with the best part of a dozen - nearly a third of my 5th year!! A reunion is on the cards as well.

Plus I have been getting insights into the shenanigans of the school before and subsequent ot my incarceration.

This site is well worth becoming a member of if only to catch up with old classmates (time heals !)

This is where the internet is great. Old friends who scattered to the far corners of world some 20+ years ago can meet on the internet.

Eduardo, I remember you - you started noyt long before I left. I also remember Andrew Willey, we werwe good friends but have not seen him for years, but if you get in touch I can pass on some gossip recieved from Christopher (Harry) Harrison, who I ran into in the street about a year or so ago.

It is intersting to note that this web site often goes a little flat on the run up to x-mas, then people get really bored, and probably anoyed by their relatives and then we normally get a big rush of joinees ...

The point of this message being, I was hoping that a few of you 'old timers' ie the "old PHOQers" might want to pen a recomendation here for me to use with my "Unofficial Quantock School Web site" to get people to join our community - look at the above messages to get the gist ..

thanks in advance,

Mike

PS Congrads Neil on the addition to the family - I guess putting this bit here wont make any sense in a few weeks ... but never mind !!

It`s funny you should say that. I sent out 12 xmas cards to others from my year and have recieved numerous responses.
I had notified them of the site too so we may recieve new members from:

Nathan, Marcus and Harvey Angel,
Karen Yates (who has recently got married),
Wendy Johnston,
Colin Griffiths (Computer teacher!)
Sean and Louise Greenhalgh,
Jenny and Derek Tipple.

Would just like to say I hope everyone has a great christmas and new year!

Justy.

Since stumbling across this site I have exchanged messages with long ago associates, got drunk in Covent Garden and received e-mails from old friends that would not have happened.
I would recommend this community to any old Quantockian.

Have a merry christmas and a very happy new year every single one of you.

Nick.

The site is the dogs boll*cks! Never thought I'd meet up with school chums again, let's hope more from my year join the site in future + looking forward to more drunken re-unions.
