Good morning my dear friend... I hope this finds the sun shining on your shoulders and life making you smile every day... I have created a photo album for you in our "Pictures" area... MSN limits people to 3 mb of graphic storage under a hotmail addy (although you can always create a new hotmail addy to have more than 1 nicname in the group as you can see I've done for more storage...). You can also buy larger storage amounts from MSN but I personally wouldn't. Anything you upload into your own album, you can use in ANY MSN group without it ever taking more of your storage capacity than the initial upload did. To use a graphic you've uploaded, you would simply click on the little yellow icon with the mountain scene in the "rich text editor" of any post and choose "My Online Photos" instead of "My Computer"... Anything in the picture albums of your MSN groups (and as you can see, the Fireplace has scads of graphics uploaded), you can use without taking from your personal storage limit. So any pic you upload to your album only needs to be uploaded once.... If you click below, the link will take you to an album that has been created for you to upload your signature tags and special pictures from your hard drive... You can feel quite safe to use this Coco and it does give you an extra security. If your own hard drive ever crashed (God forbid!!!), the pics you have uploaded to the Fireplace would still be here, safe 'n sound... Hello and good evening my friend... I hope you've had a beautiful, restful Sunday by now and I'm glad to hear your foot has healed up! I'm having a bit of trouble with my left foot lately and know that I need to keep walkin' my dog... A LOT! I pulled the ligaments outta my ankle in 1996 when I was teasing someone and thought he was comin' after me on the dead run. I turned abruptly to run away and left my leg behind... Man.. that was so painful! And then, my vanity wouldn't allow me to stay on crutches long enough to let it heal properly so now I'm getting what I deserve... I have to grit my teeth to keep going when I am out for my 2 hour walks these days so I know exactly what you mean when you say tiredness matters... And yah, it doesn't help when you drop boxes on 'em either does it??? I am not surprised to hear about BHRR wanting to tar & feather you for the mere suggestion of their changing managers... That group could have REALLY been something if they had people who had thought more about life than just seeing how far their fingers would fit up their noses! You would have been AWESOME with your composure and abundance of common sense... not to mention your own experience... It would be VERY interesting to see if someone could pick up where they left off but I guess I gotta wait for the "rest of the story"... I'm sorry you're having puter problems... There's a group here on MSN that are just brilliant about how to fix them... You might want to join it to ask them about any problems you're having... Here's the link in case you do: I noticed you've got a lot of red x's here in your mailbox while I was scrolling down... I would have to delete the whole post to clean each one up but I would be happy to do that if you want me to... What are you doing with your summer Coco? Lemme know so I can be envious. Good morning my dear friend... Thank you for your message in my mailbox! I got curious and went hunting to see if I could find the room... I found one called BHRR2.. not sure what the "2" was doing there but I went wayyyyy back in the postings and it was the same managers... Still I thought I was in the main room in 2003??? The ones I found were way back in 2002 so maybe I still didn't find the main room... But THIS one that I found was just gutted! If the other one looks like that too, man... how awful! I can tell you, it would break my friggin' heart to see the Fireplace like that! I'd rather wipe it out than ever see it turn into an empty shell with the occasional member wandering in to say "where is everybody"? I know catwoman was instrumental in bullying that room into the ground but I still put the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the managers for not doing something about it... Did she keep on with the same tactics after I left? Is that why the group died?? I know to a lot of people, groups don't seem like much but to me, it's an important link between friends and I've sunk so many hours into my group that it just horrifies me to see one that could have done so much good for heartbroken people turn into nothingness... A while back, I set up Broken Hearts Repair Depot thinking I would diversify the Fireplace but we are such an intimate group here that I didn't carry it through... That and I just plum ran out of time... I'm so glad to hear you've come to a place of serenity Coco... I admit, I'm still in a struggle with my own but I consider it part of my journey and I'm just walking it and absorbing whatever lessons I am supposed to learn. Did you have a sudden turning point or was it gradual??? You deserve the very best in whoever is at your side dear heart... You have sooo much to offer and you are so very wise in matters of the heart... Just knowing you're there has often comforted me... My treasured friend, After reading your latest message to me, I sat in quiet contemplation of your kind words for quite some time. Had you been watching my reaction, you would have seen my "overly-shiny" eyes and a soft smile on my face. To have found someone who has so much of her own inner wisdom and beauty of spirit making her light up the darkness of cyber-space from so far away, is such a blessing to me. I admit, I have had nothing but a "bad taste" in my mouth whenever I thought of BHRR since leaving there. But in reading your post, I took the wham of the epiphany it contained like a man (you woulda been so proud of me... lol). You are so right... It allowed 2 people who would never have met, to find the kindred spirits in one another when the time was right... God bless 'em... For this "kid from the sticks", to be able to "connect" is a beautiful thing all by itself. I also agree that I don't know what it would take to mow us down Coco... I think that during our times of distress, we have some sort of tiny light we each go toward each day with faith that as the tunnel opens up, we will find ourselves in a new and better place... Perhaps this has always been our destiny... to love, to learn and to go on to the next level... I dunno... It sure seems like it doesn't it? I wish I could take the credit for the Fireplace you have so generously offered me my friend... But.. the spirit of the Fireplace is a peppermint balm that also bathes and heals me when my own spirit is sore or troubled. It is the collection of so many people who each add their own colorful dimension to the sparkling crystal we have become and it's why I miss our Chat nights so very much. In chat, we have all laughed and cried together so many times... We get busy nights where we're all playing but we also get those wonderful quiet times when we actually get some profoundly meaningful conversations on the go... Even in our forums, when someone posts, I think about them and what I know about them... So many survivors... So many courageous people... So much love being hidden by fear and heartaches... I have only provided the pages we write on... It's our friends here that add the warmth, the tenderness and the beauty... I believe I could, after 4 years on here, write a book about what it has been like for me... some lil hick from the sticks... to have the medium that allows me to communicate with so many wonderful people... Your friendship Coco... the gift of it... IS my reward... And I treasure it more than Bill Gates will ever treasure his billions of dollars... If you never gave me one single thing more than this, I would feel that God had smiled on me... Thank you so much for your loving message. I needed to find the "right" quiet time to be able to respond to it with the feelings somehow forming the words that would otherwise be hugs if I could ever be lucky enough to meet you in person... Thank you for starting my day off so beautifully!! I think we are fellow survivors. I have a good memory (now anyway) and I have come from an abusive marriage and by the grace of a higher power have won my battle with alcoholism . I am applying to finish a counselling certificate that will enable me to better help the people I really want to make a difference with. The one's that are the hardest to talk with. When I have been In BC I would watch the homeless, toured their Shelters and all the time wondered "what can I do" Now at the Shelter where I work it is the women who go back to where they came to us from and end up beaten again. I am also learningto work with the hearing impaired to. Fellow survivors I think we are but maybe in a private email you can tell me. Silk has it. I think I remember but don't like making assumptions! What do you do by the way? Thank you again for reminding me of an important lesson! Love Em (Heather) |

| Hi Coco! How has your summer been going? Too fast here now that August is over 1/2 done. I notice the weeks are flying by and already the leaves and grass are golden in Manitoba. (getting ready for the ice LOL) Just wanted to pop by and say hello. I am still waiting to hear from ACC about the acceptance into the counselling cert. Hey Grandma Coco , I found your message to me regarding how to upload pictures (and I'm dyin' to see your lil Mya rosebud. If you are uploading to your photo album, simply click the link below to go there, click on the picture next to the title of your album that says "Coco's Corner" and inside the album, on the top row, you will see "". Click that and it may ask you to load the "Upload Tool". Once that's done, it will automatically take you to the pictures you have on your hard drive and you can select the ones you want to upload. At the top right hand corner, it will say "Upload Now"... Click that and your photos will load into the album... If you are uploading to a text box such as this one or in the general forum, click on the little yellow icon you see in the yellow strip running above the text area when you open a "New Message". Click on "My Computer" and it will bring up a "Browse" box that will go to where your pictures are stored on your computer. Simply click on the one you want to load and then click "Open". Click "" and your picture will appear in the text box. The third option is to send them as an e-mail attachment to your buddy, Silken and tell her where you want them to go (i.e. in the album or in a text thread).. LOL! Write me back if these instructions are about as clear as mud Hon... I am moving tomorrow and will then be offline on Friday until Saturday morning but I will check in to the group from work on Friday if you need my help...
