Moon in Armour

Knights Honor

The knights gathered
at yonder clearing
They found it by chance
just as their brave Prince

Sir James saw hope here
He felt his Prince was near

A sunny day so bright
that morning of deliverance
He saw the tangled path clearly
in his mind he envisioned victory

Four Knights from east & west
went in search of the castle
and their Prince & Princess
They would send a runner back

The forest thickens and fills
with shadows, it was faded
They would find the way difficult
with the Black Knight watching

The Prince was weary and awakened
to the sunbeams shining upon him

He knew his strength was waning
even though he felt the love
coming from within the castle
He was afraid he couldn't last

He'd fallen asleep, with depridation
Twilight had come upon him
He knew it was love and honor
that drove him to prepare to fight

Suddenly, he hears the laughter
The Black Knight is near
The stars are starting to appear
and in the horizon he sees the moon

It's armour is shining...
