 No Tears

There'll be no tears from me today-

No tears that you will see.

I'll smile and you will never know

How sad that I can be.

I'll smile and joke and make you laugh,

And never will you guess

That I am lost and lonely;

From life I long to rest.

I don't want to burden you

With all these tears I hide,

So smile and go along with me,

Pretend I never cried.

For I know it makes you sad,

To know that I hurt so,

So I will hide these tears from you

And you will never know.

Anita,

I don't know what to say to help make it better for you.  I know all the losses you've suffered these past few years and how your heart is breaking.

This poem is eloquent, has a flowing meter and rhyme scheme.  It's beautifully done.  The graphic you used, fit this poem to a T.

Reading it, tears rolled down my cheeks and dripped onto my lap. I wish I could take your pain away my friend.

All my prayers and thoughts are with you, even when I'm not here.

I think of all of you often.  I know I've been somewhat absent.  I'm on vacation, I went away and came back early.  Hopefully I can go away again, I need it.

Hugsssssssssssss
Sassy *S*

Sassy,
Thank you for your kind comments. I really wrote this for a friend of mine who is going through a rough time right now. But the message is true.....we never know how someone else is hurting because we have been taught to hide it...especially men.
So know that I am okay Sassy.
I am glad you got away and I know you needed it!!! I hope you do get away again.
I think about you often too and hope you are well.
Thanks again, my friend!
Love Anita

Anita-This is so sad and I think I understand it.
I really hope you're feeling better. Remember to
look for something positive, I know that's hard.
But it's all you've got. Thanks for posting.
Hugs
Dale
