At times we all need to relax and unwind from the stresses and strains of daily living. Do you have a special spot in your home that you use? Do you have an favourite location, weather permitting that you go to? What form of relaxation works best for you? Do you meditate, write, read, draw, sculpt, garden, or any other forms of relaxation? |

I like to read for relaxation. The story takes me to places I have never been and I meet so many interesting people there! I have a favorite chair I sit in-a wing-backed chair that used to belong to my sister. But for someplace away from home, I love the beach...which I rarely get to do but did get to in May when I visited my family in Florida. |

I love to read too and I often read in order to fall asleep. So mostly I read in bed, but when the weather is nice, I love to be near the water. I guess some of you already know that. I'm drawn to it and I feel more relaxed when near it, even if the waves are pounding into the shore. It doesn't have to be tranquil, just has to be a body of water. There is a conservation area in our town and parks on both sides of it, I love to take a blanket and a book, go down to the nearest park, spread the blanket under a willow tree near the shore, lie down and read. Sometimes it calms me so much, I'll actually fall asleep there. |
