I've posted this at other sites and I'll explain some of the reasons why there is trouble posting at various MSN sites.

 

MSN is a huge company, because of this, they are spread out over 1,000's of servers.   Now, MSN and other sites are always in competition, so they're always working on something because of this.

 

Now because of the vast amounts of people using emails & groups think of the volume of traffic they have to keep up with daily.  There are millions of group messages and emails sent daily.  Then you get people setting up new emails or new groups or joining groups daily.  It takes a lot for MSN or anysite of this size to keep up with that volume.

 

In the case of just groups - have you ever checked out the amount of groups there are in just one category?   Even that is broken down into what country that particular group originated from.  Most of the ones we use are US/Canada based, but there are many formed worldwide.  This means a massive amount of servers necessary to hold them all.

 

So the server this group is on is malfunctioning and it's causing people to experience problems, yet they can post in another group.  That's because they are not on the same servers. 

 

Then you need to factor in things like the earthquake that happened the other day somewhere over in the Pacific, that caused major problems to various underwater telecommunication cables.  That affected many countries and caused a lot of havoc. 

 

MSN is also in the process of upgrading our emails right now from 1 GB to 2 GB.   There are how many millions or billions of email accounts they must work on to affect this change.  That affects various servers, this causes disruptions.  Between upgrades and keeping up with all of this and I'm only talking emails and groups here (there is so much more to MSN), that you're always going to experience some problems in some form or another.

 

Hope this helps to explain why there are problems and probably always will be problems experienced. *S*
