Once I was a butterfly. Before I spread My wings to fly, I was just A big, fuzzy, Ugly green caterpillar That crawled along tree limbs, Eating leaves, bugs and things. One day I went in This glorious cocoon I'd spun. When I stepped out A few days later, I'd become something else -- A beautiful blue butterly. As I readied myself For my first flight, My wings flapping Upon the light breeze, I was caught By hands I did not know.
