Homecoming

She was so pretty
in her blue homecoming dress

The band played as we danced
I just wanted to touch her
I wished to breathe her in

They played a slow song
We held each other tightly

She felt so fragile
I thought she would break
I felt her heart beating
next to mine as one
We were lost in the moment

She smiled so brightly
like the sun

She brought me there
to her world
We were aware
of only one another
We were captivated

In this timeless embrace
I kissed her
We melted into one another
for a brief eternity

I felt our passion
burning strong inside of me

She was so pretty
