How it works: I give you a list of 10 words and you must use at least 6 out of 10, preferably all 10 if possible. The poems must make sense. This week there is no poem size limit. Poem style - your choice. It's up to you, whether you want to write structured or unstructed, rhymed or no rhyme. WORD LIST - butterfly - aromas - earth - window - perfume - senses - lawn - intoxicating - scenting - breeze Have fun with this!!!!!!!!!! Hugsssssssssss Sassy *S* | | | To see some examples of poems done for 10 word challenges go to view: Aural Moments - http://www.geocities.com/MuseMoments/AuralMoments.html - by Me Wild Rhythms - http://www/geocities.com/MuseMoments/WildRhythms.html - by Silver Ooakami Hope these help - these were both done to the same word list - but we each had a different take on the words. |

Late winter The gift of a pre-spring day Brown lawn promises a sea of green From my tightly shut window I open the stifling portal Inhale the refreshing scenting Of sun kissed breeze Sweet aromas swirl into my winter stale room Freshly thawed earth proves intoxicating Filling my senses with Spring's perfume What's this? An early butterfly! |

Spring's in the Air S. Cat Mar 02 2005
I sit by my window Eyes lightly closed Scenting the wind Feeling the crisp breeze I inhale deeply Catch the wafting aromas Of a freshly cut lawn, Earth, newly turned, Spring flowers' perfume, Cherry tree blossoms, What intoxicating fragrances Nature has bestowed upon me Scents feather 'cross my senses Soft as a butterfly's wings

Potpourri Through the window I see A butterfly fluttering On the breeze. I breath in The scent of Freshly cut lawn. Spring's in the air Its scenting rising Nature's aromas and perfume Comes alive, blending It's intoxicating. Senses so sublime It's that time When mother earth's In all her splendor. |
