Belief in God is the culprit
- True Citizen of the World

It is often said that belief in God makes people more humane and humble. They say that if it were not for the belief in God, the world would have collapsed with violence and sins.

Nothing more can be far away from truth than the above statements by the people of (fictional) God.

If we were to look at various religions in the world and were to rank all religions on a scale of their faith in God with those having more faith go towards the top of the scale and those who have less faith go towards the bottom of the scale.

This scale will put Islam on top, followed by other monotheistic religions. And at the bottom of the scale we will find Buddhism (says whether God exists or not is unknown) and Jainism (says that God does not exist).

Now we should on another scale put the followers of each by the magnitude of crime and violence that they do.

Once again we find that followers of Islam go on top as most violent -- terrorism, et al. Next are the other monotheistic religions -- crusade, etc.. And again we find Buddhism and Jainism go at the bottom of the scale with practically no violence at all.

Hence, we see that followers of Islam are the most God-believing and God-fearing people and they are the most violent of the lot. And we see that Buddhists & Jains are the least God-fearing and least God-believing and we also see that they are practically non-violent.

So what does this all prove? Yes, belief in God is no guarantee for goodness; on the contrary it may be a quality of evil.

Cattle are not of the intelligence of humans. They lack the emotions of the humans. I'm not sure there is a point to that statement.

James-

That opinion about cows could be contridicted.  Haven't you seen the TV commercials about the Happy California Cows?  They play 'Marko-Polo' in the fog.  They get feet massages when there is an earthquake and I think that they have a cheerleading team too.........

so what i see as your conclusion is a two sided coin. "anything which is" can be apllied for good or for evil.  And?????
