in big printing .
and stuck in their
"own cooking book. "

show them which one is salt and which one is pepper  .

show them which jar is vinegar and which is oil .

how to use a grater .

how to use a lemon squeezer.

how to roll out dough

.how to use the mixer to whip up eggs

or cream butter -

remember -   "slowly"  ..
gets there as fast as high speed.

and if they are left handed
show them how to
peel a vegetable across the table from you .

this way works wonders !
that's how I taught some children at camp  who were not allowed in mum's kitchen ,
so at age 10-11yrs.
did not know how to peel a potato .
that person wrote me a lovely letter  and I still wonder how she is now .
probably better than me in peeling potatoes
I guess.

Hamburger Packages

1 pound (or more) hamburger meat
1 medium onion, sliced into rings
1-2 medium potatoes, sliced into discs

Make as many hamburger patties as you want to serve.
Place each one on its own square of aluminum foil. Season
to taste. On top of each patty, place a few rings of onion
and several slices of potato. Fold up the aluminum foil like
you're wrapping a present, so it won't leak, and bake in
a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or to desired
doneness.
