I forgot to add that I can totally relate to having to nag your husband to do something, as I'm sure most of us can.....I'm srongheaded and I would most likely end up doing the same exact thing you did. My mom's the same way. |

Allison, it was a chest tube and yes it was hideous. The pain was just
about unbearable....it was a terrible experience and I am so glad it's
over......thanks for the good wishes! |

"Signing in for Sept. Also wanted to tell you all that I've been thru the ringer! Last Friday I asked my husband to move our bookcase down to the basement. Of course anyone here who has a hubby knows that it takes asking a few hundred times before it's done. Anyway I decided I'd had enough and moved it myself. I lifted it and laid it down horizontally and was backing up toward the basement steps, and as soon as I took one step I lost my footing and FELL DOWN THE STAIRS WITH THE BOOKCASE SLAMMING INTO ME!! I lay there not able to breathe. I crawled to the other room where the phone was and call Jim, he took me to the hospital. I had a collapsed lung and 3 broken ribs...I had a chest tube put into my chest and just got released from the hospital today. It's been a nightmare, and a painful one at that. I',m better but still very very sore....Just wanted to let you all know! Glad to be back."  OMG. OMG!!! Something tells me you'll have the leverage to never ask 100 times for anything... ever again! |
