I read this news as well from another ATWT message board.  I think it was also posted on the actor's website. 

 

It seems like such a shame to bring a core character back for such a short stint and then write them out in the middle of a big storyline.  Half the time it seems the writers have no planned out storylines and are just making it up as they go!

I read that he will be on recurring status.....has that changed?

According to his website, he is no longer a member of ATWT.  He said he finished his last day.

I read the posting too... I must admit I am saddened to hear he is leaving/has left.  I was really buying into his "I love Allison" storyline and I am sorry it is being dropped.

 

I wonder why the heave-ho?  He seems generally good for the part... something tells me, after the 8th Chris Hughes to come onto the show, this is a doomed role for actors.

I'm not that invested in the character of Chris Hughes, but why did ATWT bring him back at all?  The same goes with Mike .... the show brings him back but gives him no real s/l and then drops him less than a year later.  None of this makes any sense to me!  It's like the writers have absolutely no clue what they are doing!

Bingo!  You got that right..the writers don't know what they're doing..And/or, who knows..They may have been good actors but had messy personal lives..

More importantly than Chris.... what happened to that cute little puppy?!!
