Well, you're both in my prayers. It's so difficult to watch someone we love have to deal with an illness, especially cancer. I'm looking forward to the day they can come up with a cure for cancer.

esophageal cancer is actually a common outcome for people with acid reflux disease - there are treatments available.. including cutting out the esophageus and raising the stomach up like a tube...  Also, there are pills that can help people with pre-cancerous tissue in their esophageous.. if you have acid reflux - see a doctor!!

 

I'll keep your brother in my thoughts!

 

Btw - I hear there is a hospital in Nashville Tennessee that specializes in these kinds of cancer.

Just wanted to thank you all for your prayers for my brother and give an up date.  He is doing really well.  He had surgery to remove the cancer and have his esophagus re-routed to his stomach.  He has undergone 2 rounds of chemo and so far is cancer free.  Please continue to keep him in your prayers along with anyone else who may have this horrid disease.

Wow, what a blessing! I love hearing good news regarding anyone with cancer...thank God!!
