I've read all of them! Going to see the new movie in the IMAX this Sat. night. The last 20 mins. is 3D. I'm going to get the new book the day it comes out. Can't wait! ~Allison |

LOL - I pre-ordered mine on Amazon and have started a countdown to the book. The last one was so intense I walked around ranting for days.... I can't wait to read it before anyone can (inadvertently) tell me how it ends! Taryn you have to read Half Blood Prince - it's really long (and totally horrible - events wise) but a great book! I imagine most of America is going to spend the evening of the 21st reading Harry Potter! |

Rachel, my sister orders two books just incase one doesn't get delivered on time. Amazon usually delivers around 7 a.m.. She'll start the book then and have it finished sometime early Sunday morning. Then she immediately starts it over and reads it again. She is a diehard HP fan. I'm half betting that she's going to show up at 12:01 a.m. on the 21st and already have half of it read by the time the Amazon copy gets shipped!! I think the books are so much better than the movies. I love the books. And yes, Taryn, you should definitely read book 6. It's depressing, but good. We'll have to do some discussing in this thread once we've all read it. ~Allison |

Happy to say that I've read
all the books and am awaiting the last installment as well. My daughter
bought it for me and it will be delivered one week from Saturday. I told
her not to waste her money that I would read hers (she'll probably have it read
the same day), but she has other children that want to read it as well.
She's always buying me things because I watch her kids so often and wants to
repay me somehow, LOL.
Hope it's a good last one
and I will DEFINITELY miss the series once this is over.

A small tidbit of info.: Have you heard that she intends to write a series about Dumbledore's life? I bet you it will be good, also. |

My daughter read the book and now she's rereading it very "s l o w l y" in order to not miss anything the second time. She bought me the book as well, but I haven't finished reading "Roses are Red" by James Patterson yet. This has to get back to the library so I'll start reading it in a couple days. However, my daughter told me everyone that dies, and what happens to them already. Of course, I downloaded the spoilers from the internet and some of them were accurate. Then I have this bad habit of reading the last chapter to see what did happen. Bad me, bad me!!! I just can't help it though. |

It's okay to laugh at me. I guess I got in the habit of reading the ending because my daughter always finished ahead of me. Even if I had spoiler notes, they weren't always as accurate and she let me know!! Damn kids!! I guess I raised them too well and they're so competitive that I have a hard time keeping up with them. It's all 4 of them that are competitive amongst each other (in a nice way~~most of the time!) I am reading it now, slowly. I ask my kids questions about it or take notes so I don't feel stupid when we discuss it. This is going to take at least a week to read. |

Rae, I liked the ending, also. I thought the book was very good for Potter fans. Still, it's sad to see the series end. But I'm sure whatever she comes out with next will also turn to gold. |

Still, it's sad to see the series end. But I'm sure whatever she comes out with next will also turn to gold Agreed! I was reading a review of the Potter series in Entertainment Weekly and they mentioned how the epilogue was very typical of a children's fairy tale (the bad guy dies and the good guys get married and live happily ever after) it's funny how easy it is to forget they were written for kids! |
