Born and raised in Los Angeles, Regina King made her silver screen debut in John Singelton’s “Boyz n the Hood�?and collaborated with Singleton again in “Poetic Justice�?and “Higher Learning.�?With additional roles in “Friday�?and “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate,�?the definite turning point in King’s career came in 1997 when she starred opposite Cuba Gooding Jr., Renée Zellweger, and Tom Cruise in “Jerry Maguire.�?Her performance led to starring roles in “How Stella Got Her Groove Back,�?“Enemy of the State,�?“Mighty Joe Young,�?“Down to Earth,�?“A Cinderella Story,�?“Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde,�?“Daddy Day Care�?and “Miss Congeniality 2�?opposite Sandra Bullock.
