FLYING RUMORS: OH NO!!!!!!! Bring out the hankies!!!! SOD is reporting that Trent D (Henry) contract is coming up and he may not resign due to lack of s/l.
Grayson McCouch (Dusty) is leaving the show on Jan. 08. The buzz on the set is he was offered a pay cut and refused, some just say he wanted out, as rumors are he may be going to Y&R. There is no confirmation on this yet. SOD:
For a special episode that airs on December 21, Oakdale is swept up into a Victorian-era fantasy inspired by a dollhouse in an Old Town shop window. Mr. & Mrs. Will Munson receive the ultimate Christmas present in the form of their new daughter. The Hughes family gathers to celebrate the holiday in Bob's hospital room and all pray for a Christmas miracle, while Jack isn't feeling goodwill towards man when he warns Sam to stay away from his family. And in a special episode, a turn of the 20th Century dollhouse comes to life and depicts the residents of Oakdale in situations that may or may not be reminiscent of their own.
At the end of the show, the entire cast sings a carol.
Many of the characters take on different parts, such as Brad as a reverend and Katie as a maiden. Lucinda is a cook, with Margo, Tom & Bob as part of her staff.
Van Hansis (Luke) and Jake Silbermann (Noah) play former schoolmates who discuss their "friendship."
The article mentions: "Other stories are slightly tweaked, as well, with an UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS twist reminscent of the film Gosford Park."
Also, every single cast member has a corresponding doll, replete with identical costume.

SOAPDOM Poor Carly. First she has a terminal illness scare. Then, when she gets the good news that she’s not about to die, she makes the horrible choice of not telling Jack the truth �?to play on his sympathies and get him to return to her. Naturally, and as we all know, that blew up in her face in spades and now, not only is Jack against her, so is her son, Parker. In fact, he has a no holds bared conversation with her in which his comments prove most disheartening. Has Carly’s deception resulted in her losing her son as well as her one true love?
While on the other side of Oakdale, Holden and Lily choose to take the high road this holiday and agree to a Christmas truce for the sake of the kids. Will happy family times around the tree lead to a warmer long-term relationship for the estranged couple? Meanwhile, as Lily spends quality time with her ex and their children, Dusty and Emily face off. What are they arguing about this time? Which one will take the upper hand?
In other couples developments, Aaron makes a not so startling admission. He wants to try again with Ali. Does he let her know? If so, how will she respond? Finally, the week winds down with Craig doing a lot of internet research. Seems he’s developed a sudden interest in medical websites. What’s he trying to find out? Could it have something to do with pregnancy? Only one way to find out. Tune in to As the World Turns this week. SNS Craig gets the miscarriage inducing drug from a dealer and doses Meg's drink, but knocks it away after she makes an emotional toast.
A concerned Rosanna calls Craig and learns he plans to keep the paternity secret from Meg and Paul.
Alison gently rejects Aaron's appeal that they try to rekindle a relationship.
After Cole gives up his paternal rights, Sofie offers her baby to Gwen and Will.
Dusty accuses Chris of having caused Bob's stroke, and warns Emily that he'll try to find out what Chris is hiding.
Luke and Noah profess their love.
Lily is devastated over being without Holden.

Word is that the show is making plans for a special, stand-alone
Holiday episode. CADY MCCLAIN will once again exit the role of Rosanna
Cabot - early in 2008. ATWT is apparently planning for Daniel - Tom's
son with Emily - to return soon. The plan is for Daniel to further
complicate Tom's relationship with Casey - also reportedly on the way back
to town. It is being speculated that PAUL LEYDEN will make a return to
Oakdale as Simon Fraser during December. ATWT bigwigs say 'no comment.'
TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2008
BILLY MAGNUSSEN debuts as Casey Hughes when Casey is sprung from
jail on January 29. Casey was previously portrayed by ZACH ROERIG.
MAGNUSSEN is currently appearing in The Ritz on Broadway.

why did they have to get rid of henry's family and all that....i don't like this one little bit..i really don't.. so right when they give dusty a great story...him back with lily they're getting rid of him....not sure how i feel about it all. i wonder if he has the clout that kim zimmer has..when she was offered a pay cut..she said no way no how.no chance....so they worked around her..or something like that....wonder if they'd do the same with him..but he's not a vet like she is...even though he was on another world before..lol i do like the way that the christmas show will go...at least i think i do...but with henry gone...who will i watch.....booooooo, hisssss...please writers..have a heart and give him a real story susan |

Let's not jump the gun. These are "rumors". But I know where you're going. I would hate to lose these two guys. Let's see, that's Dusty, Henry, Gwen, Will, Cole is already gone. I wonder how many they plan on losing before we get some decent writers....... !! Personally, I don't think that Dusty (Grayson) has too much clout with anyone there. If it's a matter of money, maybe the writers should give up some of theirs since they are not doing such a good job writing decent scripts. Why should the actors have to suffer for the writers poor job. |

right now...it's kind of having me worried that so many of the popular characters are going...there's rumour that the soap could be gone by this time next year..i know that most dont' want to hear all that....could this be the beginning of that end...... susan |

Here's More: ANOTHER FLYING RUMOR (SOAPCENTRAL); I have have no idea to the validity of this rumor- but it seems to correspond with other news surfacing...
The rumor states the show apparently has plans to recast Andy Dixon. It says the character returns in order to resolve things with Kim, after breaking his mother's heart last time he was in town. Apparently he has a history with Bonnie, but eyes for Vienna, and as a result both ladies will be drawn to him. Vienna and Bonnie have history with each other, and past rivalry however which will effect things with Andy.
Apparently the main contender rumored for this role is Michael McLafferty. I am not familiar with his work though.

i guess that vienna was kind of drawn to bonnie isn't she supposed to have royal blood and until she met henry it was all status for her and all that..
i do wonder why they're going to get rid of henry..that would make for such a great quad..but noooooooo, instead we get stuck with the same old..same old....
there have been hints that rose was coming back.....with lily loosing it...will she think that she's rose instead..of her coming back and all that..yuck....didn't we already do that story once..or something like that...
will have to go and think about those other spoilers some more

i just wonder about the timing of the pay-cuts right now......i know in the past they've had to cut the bugget...but...does it have something to do with the strike........
yup..you are so right..we shouldn't jump the gun..and all that....
but when you come to think about it....for me the timing just kind of seems a bit off.

OK. If they're going to bring back Andy, I want Scott back. I mean, he's married to Maura West (Carly) so why can't we have him back. This is crazy. I hope if they aren't getting him, it's b/c he's not interested and not because they didn't ask him. This is too many changes for me in too little time!! |
