• A Christmas Miracle For Gwen & Will:  "It's the coming together of everything they've ever wanted," says Jennifer Landon of Gwen and WIll's first night with the newborn daughter that (they hope) represents the end to a two-year saga in which the young couple has longed to be parents.  "Will is happy when Gwen is happy," adds Jesse Soffer.  And he's thrilled to be a father." 
• On the day after Christmas, Sofie finally signs the adoption papers.  "It's like losing a part of herself.  This baby is all she has left in the entire world.  But Sofie knows that she can't provide the way a baby needs to be provided for," explains her portrayer, Justine Cotsonas.  "Gwen and Will are young, but they seem like they have everything and all they want is to give their love to someone that they can call their own.  She's liked them from the start.  It's such a sad circumstance, but you have to do what's best for everyone."
• One person who isn't happy is Barbara, who stands outside in tears, having been forbidden to even see her new grandchild by Gwen and Will.  "His family is so screwed up and the only thing that's ever going to make Will feel whole is to have a family of his own, raising a kid the right way," says Soffer.
• While many fans are still campaigning for the Munsons to have a biological baby, Landon notes that Gwen's decision to name her Hallie Jennifer -- after Will's late father and sister -- signifies that she is, indeed, very special.  "I think there's something with the name giving, to give honor or meaning, that this child is bigger than all of that," says Landon.  "I would like to adopt one day.  There's something insane about chosen love:  It's two people finding each other, whether it's a romantic relationsihp or mother or child."
• And though the Munsons promise to include her in the baby's life, could Sofie, like Gwen herself two years ago, change her mind?  "Gwen worries about that," admits Landon.  "There's a lot of joy about getting the baby, but Gwen is definitely turning a little bit of a blind eye to the situation in order to do what she thinks is best, but also what she wants.  If you want something like Gwen wants a baby and somebody like Sofie says, 'I want to give mine up for adoption,' you're not going to convince her that maybe she should keep it."
• "They're all a little bit naive," admits Cotsonas of the situation, but whatever happens, Soffer insists, "Will is always the voice of positivity for Gwen and he's not worried.  It's all going to go off without a hitch as far as he's concerned."

SOAPDOM:

• It's Christmas Eve but there is a definite damper on the festivities as Sage, JJ and Carly miss Parker and Jack. However, much to their surprise, Jack shows up. But is Parker with him? If not, where has he chosen to spend Christmas Eve?
• While on the other side of Oakdale, Katie tells Brad to back off, or their agreement is over. Does he capitulate? More importantly, what did they agree to? At the same time, it may be Christmas, but Holden has bad news for Lily. It seems that he wants to finalize his divorce sooner rather than later. Will she agree?
• Meanwhile, its not all angst and sorrow this Christmas in Oakdale. Phew. Lets be thankful for that and be happy for Gwen as she gets an amazing Christmas present. Is it the baby? Check out As the World Turns this week and see.
