As the World Turns

Meg hates to admit it to Mike that she still has feelings for Paul and she accuses Paul of falling back into old jealousy patterns. Paul vows to get rid of Mike. Chris is excited about Alison's nursing school plans. Emily offers Casey a job as her assistant. Margo tries to convince Casey that there's an ulterior motive behind Emily hiring him. Katie's upset when Brad says he wants to wait to have children, and just as saying that Liberty, a pretty teenage girl, sneaks past the crew to see Brad and tells him she's his daughter. Ameera confesses her true feelings. Ameera tells Luke and Noah she's going back to Iraq, but Luke proposes all three of them live together. Holden finds the Dusty mementoes that Lily has hidden. Lily's in a good mood and glad that she and Holden are in a good place, until she sees he's holding her Dusty mementoes. Holden doesn't want a divorce, but urges Lily to find a way to get past these lies before she destroys them. Lucinda suggests Lily go to Iva's for a rest. When Parker has an accident on his skateboard, Holden drives him to the hospital.

The following week: Paul challenges Mike for Meg's heart.

Lily/Holden/Carly/Jack: Carly finally draws a line in the sand and she's simply tired of being punished. That shakes Jack up a little bit because they do love each other. As for Lily and Holden, the past continues to haunt the both of them and there's got to be a recovery period for them. To that end, Carly and Holden are spending more time together.

Katie/Brad: They're in love and are very happy together, but it seems that there is never a dull moment. By the end of this week, the couple will face their first handle- and it's a big one. This is certainly not Katie would have wanted to during her honeymoon phase, but she's certainly going to make a go of it.

Mike/Meg/Paul/Sofie: Mike wants to be a friend to Meg and their relationship, at this point, doesn't go much further than that. Meg's feelings for Paul are always going to be there. Sofie is starting to become a little dependent on Paul. She's a little lost as the sweep weeks continue and might start to begin seeing Paul as something as a rescuer.

Luke/Noah/Ameera: The situation becomes extremely problematic, not just because of Ameera's feelings, but because of other complications. Luke doesn't distrust Noah's feelings for him, but he's extremely fustrated at the whole entire situation. Forces beyond their control start to step in.

Emily/Casey: Casey's moving into a nice juicy story. He lands a job as Emily's new assistant this week. Margo and Tom aren't exactly to thrilled with the news.

Chris/Alison/Aaron: Obviously, the Alison/Chris factor involves the Stewarts and the Hugheses. At this point, Alison is in search of a normal life. She's going to be with a lot of different people. And don't discount a Matt return.

Vienna/Henry/Bonnie: Henry is still dealing with some residual angst over what happened with Gray. Not so much jealousy, but Henry is a tad bit insecure that he's not able to give Vienna what she deserves. Bonnie will be a part of that, as well.

Parker/Liberty: Newcomer Liberty is a spitfire. She's sixteen years old, so she's one or two years older than Parker and she goes to school with him.

Brad tells Katie he wants to build a strong marriage before they start a family.

Later, a teenager named Liberty turns up at the TV studio and announces that she's Brad's daughter.

Ameera confesses her upset about Noah's lack of interest in her and is ready to go back to Iraq, but Luke suggests that the three of them live together.

Holden sees Lily holding mementos of Dusty and, not wanting a divorce, suggests she go to Iva's for a rest and to find a way to stop lying.

Emily hires Casey, only to have Margo fire him following an argument about Emily.

Paul tries and fails to sweep Meg off her feet.

Jack can't separate himself from Carly.

Casting Update

Martha Byrne (Lily) last airs on Tuesday, April 22nd. Reportedly, her final scenes will be with Lucinda when Lily leaves town to go visit her biological mother, Iva.

SOW: The buzz at ATWT is that the-powers-that-be are going to try to lessen the impact of Martha Byrne's exit by swapping romantic partners when Noelle Beck starts playing Lily on May 8. NuLily will be paired with Jack, while Carly and Holden grow closer. "Holden and Jack would never do that to each other," sniffs one actor close to the storyline. Talk about a carjacking!
