FALL PREVIEWS!!!

CBS SID:

• Danger is in the air this fall on ATWT.  To find out who will come out unscathed, we went straight to headwriter Jean Passanante for the whole story.
• Reunion for Lily & Holden?  Carly and Holden realize that their relationship is too destructive and must come to an end. "Carly really is trying to do the right thing here, for once in her life, " Passante chuckles.  But it may not be that easy. "Holden is torn by his feelings for Carly and his desire to put his family back together again.  What will happen is a test of the Lily/Holden relationship and a big crisis that brings them closer together."
• Brad's in Trouble!! As Liberty and Parker head back to school, it's Brad who may find himself learning a lesson following the near tragic events that left Leo in a coma. "What everyone figures out, especially Brad, is that his desire to be a good and productive father has taken him too far."  And he may not be the only one to grow in the weeks to come. "The parents have to get their lives together because they're adversely affecting the kids."
• Henry & Vienna's New Crisis! Bonnie will regret her interest in mysterious newcomer Derek.  "She will end up being in jeopardy." the scribe reveals. "You'll learn more about why Derek does what he does, and it builds to other complications with other characters." Could the danger posed by Derek be just the thing to bring Henry and Vienna back together?
• James' Evil Plot! Legendary Oakdale supervillian James Stenbeck has returned with a mission.  "What James is after is his son, Paul," the headwriter says. "James has always wanted to stake a claim on Paul. So he becomes kind of a devil whispering in Paul's ear trying to make him more his son than Barbara's." But Paul isn't the only one James' wrath will affect. "Because it's on Paul," she teases, "it has a serious impact on Meg and on Barbara.  And actually, the ripples extend beyond that."
• Alison's Dilemma. Dani may be pursuing Chris, but there's not a lot Alison can say about it since she's engaged to Aaron! "Ali wishes she didn't have feelings for Chris," JP reveals.  "He's actually been nothing but trouble for her! They keep getting pulled together, but Aaron also has a very major tug on her heart because of their history.  So she's torn between two men.  A classic story."

SOW:

• Jack and Carly will always be involved in each other's lives, but Jack is with Janet now.  Jack and Janet have had some issues relating to their kids, and they have this rift due to Brad hurting Leo and Janet asking Jack to cover it up.  Jack supports his brother at Janet's request and it costs him dearly.  Carly is also in the picture, and she and Jack have a history.  Janet might fear it and it will be hard for her to compete with that.
• Brad lost his temper with Leo and his actions have made Katie question what kind of man she's married to.  Parker and Liberty will go back to school and grow up a little.  They'll deal with some surprising family issues that will move their relationship in a new direction.
• Lily would love to see her family happy again, but so much damage has been done that it's hard for her to imagine ever forgiving Holden and Carly.  Carly and Holden know what they should do, they know what they need to do, but that doesn't necessarily make it easy for them to pull away from each other.  We've got a big incident coming up later this month that will pull Lily and Holden in closer proximity.
• At the time of his supposed death, Dusty left a lot of loose ends.  There's unfinished business with many characters, including Meg and Paul, Lily and Holden, and Emily and therefore, Casey.  Needless to say, his return will create complications for all of these couples.
• Paul's spent most of his life trying to fend off his father's harmful influence, and now James is back and he's targeted Paul to do his bidding.  Paul is pushed to the wire to protect Meg and to prove to her -- and himself -- that he's not his father.  Unfortunately, he creates a disaster that will have a major impact on not only Meg, but Lily and Holden, as well.
• Emily and Casey try to make a go of their relationship but find their differences are even greater than they'd realized -- and, of course, Dusty's coming back will play into the story, as well.
• Alison is in denial about her feelings for Chris.  While they certainly moved closer after he saved her life, Aaron's never stopped loving her.  Ali is drawn to that kind of devotion, but not enough so that Chris doesn't remain a threat to her future with Aaron.
• Lucinda has obviously taken a shine to Brian, and he'll prove himself to be a really good friend to her as things start to explode around her.  Luke has some issues with Brian surrounding the foundation and how much it should have to do with Luke's identity as a gay person.  As we get further into the fall, Luke and Noah's relationship will be tested.

SOD:

• DUSTY'S RETURN: "When Dusty was believed to be murdered, he left with a lot of things hanging in the fire. So there's unfinished business with Lily and Holden, there's unfinished business with Meg and Paul and Emily, and because Emily's with Casey, with Casey as well. His return creates a lot of ripples on the canvas."
• JAMES: "James will certainly stir up a lot of trouble, including everything that happens with Lily and Holden and a Snyder family tragedy. There is a huge event that happens because Paul is pushed to the wire to help Meg, to sort of prove himself to Meg, and in so doing he creates a disaster. It's a near-tragic incident."
• LILY/HOLDEN/CARLY: "Lily is full of anger, but she'd love to have her family back together again. As far as Carly goes, she knows the right thing to do, and Holden knows the right thing to do is pull away from each other, but it's not necessarily easy."
• JACK/JANET: "In the course of trying to cover up something that he did, Brad implicates Jack. Jack gets into trouble. Brad and Janet trying to protect Liberty, and Jack trying to do what's right causes some issues to arise between Jack and Janet, and also kind of pulls him closer to Carly."
• BRAD/KATIE: "They're caught up in the story with Leo. Brad does something that is kind of morally questionable, so now Katie has a momentary glimpse of a side of Brad she doesn't like so much and it makes her question: 'Who is this man I married?'"
• EMILY/CASEY: "Casey, who is miles away from Emily in terms of his experience, has one thing in mind and Emily has another. So you begin to see some conflict there, some choices that are surprising and, of course, then you have Dusty coming."
• LUKE/NOAH: "Luke and Noah are in their second year of college and as the fall continues, you'll see more and more of them, and Luke is getting more interested in his identity as a gay person. He and Noah have somewhat different ideas about how to express it. Luke gets more interested in gay issues, in making more of a statement maybe that Noah is interested in. There will be further complications to that that will take them in a new direction."
• MEG/PAUL: "Meg is caught up in Paul's drama with his father. Paul will do anything to keep Meg protected from James. James is still as playfull and dangerous as he has always been, so his presence in Paul's life is very threatening to Meg. She's fragile, that's sort of a high-risk pregnancy, so that makes it even more difficult for Paul.
• AARON/ALISON/CHRIS: "Alison is kind of in denial about her feelings about Chris and confused by them. As Alison and Aaron move closer together, something will explode with Chris that will threaten their happiness."
• HENRY/VIENNA: Henry sort of unwittingly gets caught up in some of James's machinations, as do Vienna and Bonnie and a new character, Derek."
• PARKER/LIBERTY: They'll go back to school, they'll grow up a little and they'll find some surprising family issues that will move their relationship in a new direction."
• LUCINDA/BRIAN: "We're working in that direction. Brian is a bit younger, but he's very gentlemanly and obviously he appreciates Lucinda for who she is. He also becomes a really good friend to her as things start to kind of explode around and she's definitely interested in him."
