• ATWT is doing a special show to celebrate Helen Wagner (Nancy) 90th birthday. They are doing what they call a prequel to life in Oakdale before ATWT began.
• Emmy winner Martha Byrne (ex-Lily) opens up to Soaps In Depth about her post-ATWT life. She tells the magazine, while she “would never turn down an acting job at this point, I feel like I’m being drawn behind the scenes and the typewriter. So I’m going with that for now and seeing where it takes me.�?Byrne’s new album, The Other Side will be released overseas soon, and she’s been working on a film project with Paul Leyden (ex-Simon).
• As for being forced to leave ATWT, Byrne admits, “You hope that someone will intervene to make it better. And those phone calls don’t come and it isn’t resolved and no one helps. And that’s a reality check, for sure. I was disappointed to find that my phone wasn’t ringing to make it better. Daytime has been incredibly generous to me. It’s in my blood. I need to heal before I can move on.�?
