Cooper's been wandering around on the couch looking for mischief so I opened the blinds, hoping to keep him entertained and out of trouble for a few minutes. He sat there watching cars going by, and giggling! |

I'm really impressed, GB ... I thought you were so far in the boonies, that there would be no cars going by your house! lol He sure is intent on watching, all hunkered down like that. I wonder what he was giggling at. You sure have an entertaining flock, GB! Abby |

He's such a character!! LOL......wait till the giggling stops, the excitement kicks in and the hole chewing starts! We suffered something similar awhile back. New neighbors. A couple with 4 little children under the age of 6. Moe was accustomed to sitting on the back of the chair that overlooks the neighbors yard and front walkway and door. I'd forgotten that the birds hadn't seen these folks yet... One morning, the whole crew came out of the house. My first clue was my beloved Amazon barking. By the time I arrived on the scene - he had tail fanned, eyes flashing and was gnawing on the upholstery with a vengeance. .....and to think I'd wanted a dog..... Crystal

That is a cute photo of him and I thought you were out in the boonies also.. He has to be thiking it's a bit on the dull side to just giggle at passing motors, otherwise that tail would be flared if they were driving not to his liking.... |

What a boy....he can find fun in anything he does. Does his giggle set you off on your own giggling spell? Tickles sends me off every time..she's a pro as making me giggle. |

Nope, he's not a blind chewer. He goes after the little plastic thingies at the end of the pull-strings |

He's so pretty. You need Levelors, metal ones, with the twisty rod thingie up high so he can't reach them. I am surprised at how close this looks to the street, too. But I think the camera is lying. I have seen pics of your downed trees and your yard is not that shallow, is it? Annie |

Annie, the road really is close to my house--maybe 25 feet? This is a huge bay window that faces to the west (so it's constantly covered in salty ocean mist gunk .)My driveway comes in off the road, along the extreme south of the property. The side of the house with the front door and garage entrance faces the south side. The trees that were down were between the front door and driveway, on on the south side of the house. |

I bet you have to keep cleaning your windows and walls. I never knew how salt water saturated the air and either floated around or was blown around by the wind until we moved to that island off the coast of Ga. When I made my morning trips down to run the beaches looking for turtle runs, I had to constantly clean my goggles and glasses.....rifles and binoculars...everything. When I held a flashlight up and looked around, it really looked like you could see the salt water in the air...it is that thick! I'd be saturated by the time I ran the first beach which was 19 miles long. I did this on a four wheeler most of the time....and a truck others. I had to use windshield wipers going all the time to keep the mist cleared off. That salty grimy mist is a booger to tools and equipment. Everything rusts sooooo quickly and it gets into everything....every nook and cranny. That is one thing I don't miss....and I sure sympathize with you having to deal with it on a daily basis. I still love the view you have though.....man...it's paradise. |
