You may be right that it was regurgitation, especially since you were snuggling her. Had she ever regurged for you before?
Still, since it followed a fall, I would suspect vomitting.
Glad she seems OK, but keep an eye on her.
I did a dumb thing about 14 years ago. (Not the only dumb thing I have ever done.)
I had a very young scarlet macaw, fully feathered except for the tail finishing growing, still being handfed and I left him on top of his cage while I left the room for a minute. As I walked back in he jumped off his cage and landed breast first on the tile floor. It
knocked all the food out of his crop and broke the very tip off his beak. Scared me half to death. I took him to the local vet immediately and she couldn't find anything wrong. He was fine but I sure wasn't.
We learn some really hard lessons sometimes, but I learned not to leave a very young bird out for even a minute.
