~~~~~~~ The Symbol,  RIVER. ~~~~~~~~~
For our first Scripture on the symbol, River, let’s read Psalms 36:8--They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the RIVER of thy PLEASURES.
Now, in order to ‘rightly divide?Scripture, you must realize that a word such as ‘river, tree, etc?does NOT always have the same meaning; you must be able to tell from the context which meaning is meant. But if you do not know these symbols, you will miss knowing these secrets.
v9- (In this verse is also another symbol, fountain).---For with thee is the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE: in thy light shall we see light.
Now surely you must know that there is no natural ‘fountain?which can give you life.
Psalms 46:4--There is a RIVER, the streams whereof shall make glad the ‘city?of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Now, this could NOT be a natural ‘river? How could the streams of a natural river make glad the ‘city?of God? What is the ‘city?of God? This word ‘city?is also a symbol.
The city of God is his people. The River is that river Jesus said would be in us - = the Spirit and the Word of God.
Psm. 65:9--Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the RIVER of God, which is full of ‘water? thou preparest them ‘corn? when thou hast so provided for it.
Here he is not speaking of natural ‘rain?as watering the earth; he is speaking of sending us the Words of God through Jesus. The corn is also a symbol. Corn represents the word of God.
Read Psalm 80. This chapter if FULL of symbols. Remember, it is a symbolic language.
Verse 8, speaks of God’s bringing Israel out of Egypt ; but he calls it a ‘vine? Vine is a great symbol. It is the same as the ‘tree? It is speaking of their ‘boughs?and the goodly cedars which were nations in the Garden of Eden.
v11--She sent out her ‘boughs?unto the ‘sea? and her branches unto the ‘river?
Rev. 17; And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are PEOPLES, AND MULTITUDES, AND NATIONS, AND TONGUES.
So see, that ‘sea? ‘river?‘waters?etc. are nations?
Now do you see that a natural people do not have natural ‘boughs? This is branches on a tree. So this river is also not a natural river. It is a nation of people.
Isa. 8:7 --Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the RIVER, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his ‘banks:?
8--And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
Now, this is too easy to see for anyone not to see it. This word RIVER here could only be referring to the nation of Assyria. It speaks of his ‘channels?and his banks, and his overflowing - now don’t you see that he is speaking of actions of the king of Assyria as though he is a river?
Isa. 23:10--Pass through thy land as a RIVER, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
This is calling them a river, they will go through the land as a river.
v11--speaks of the ‘merchant city? This is the people who sell the things of God. They are Babylon.
Eze. 29:3--Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great DRAGON that lieth in the midst of his RIVERS, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
Read this whole chapter. It shows that Egypt is a RIVER, WITH PHARAOH as A DRAGON in this RIVER. See Pharaoh represents Satan. So you know he was not a literal ‘dragon?in a literal ‘river?
It is spiritual talk.
Eze. 31--this chapter is full of this symbolism. It will help you see this. This is the chapter which started me to understanding these symbols when I was a young woman.
v3--.the Assyrian was a CEDAR in LEBANON with fair branches....
v4--The WATERS made him great, the DEEP set him up on high with HER RIVERS running round about his plants, and sent out her little RIVERS unto all the TREES of the field.
This is showing that many peoples were here and caused these nations to become great.
Now, you know that no nation is a literal tree with literal branches. Jesus said, Every PLANT which my heavenly Father hath not planted shall be rooted up. So, he is speaking of us as PLANTS.
v6--shows the symbol of ‘fowls of heaven? This is NOT speaking of literal ‘birds? It is spirits.
Spirits, = angels, see about and over nations and churches. Read Daniel and Rev. for proof. Also, the angels encamp about those who love God and keep them safe.
Anyone who wishes to learn about God’s symbols should start in this chapter. It is very good on this study.
v18--To whom art thou thus like in glory and greatness among the TREES OF EDEN? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth; thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is PHARAOH and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.
Now look at this one verse. Try to see it in the natural ---- you will only see confusion.
But look at it from understanding symbols - you will receive great revelation. How could natural trees of Eden be brought down to the earth? How were they slain by a sword? How are they Pharaoh and all his multitude? Pharaoh is the kingdom of Satan.
No study on RIVER would be complete without Eze. 47.
You must study this chapter. v2--waters run out of the side of a ‘gate?
v3-- A man with a measuring line rant to measure the waters. Rev. 11 shows that only the temple of God is measured; not the outer court of the Gentiles. So thee waters are the people of God with the Word of God inside them.
This river which the waters have made, first is only to the ancles; then to the knees; then to the loins; then last of all a RIVER that could not be passed over.
Then he returned to the bank of this river, there were very many TREES on each side of the river.
One side of this river of life is in Heaven; the other side is here on earth. These are the people of God in each place. How much glory carnal minded people miss!!!!!!
v8--(This is glorious)--Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
Now if you read this natural, you will receive foolishness; but if spiritual, it is glorious.
These are the people of God with the true Word of God going into the world, those desert places are the ones without the word, and the sea is the masses of peoples, (Rev.)-- then the true people with the True Word, heal their lies; bring them into truth and life.
v9--and it shall come to pass, that every thing that LIVETH, (has something from Jesus)--which moveth whithersoever the RIVERS shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of FISH (= his people)--because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed: and every thing shall LIVE whither the river cometh.
This is that RIVER of LIFE = same as the TREE of LIFE = the true Word of God = carried by the TRUE PEOPLE of God; who have this river inside us. This well of WATER springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE.
Let’s finish with this beauty: Rev. 22:1--and he shewed me a PURE RIVER OF WATER OF LIFE, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (so this gate in Eze. was this throne of God; for this is where the waters issued from).
v2--In the midst of the STREET (also a symbol)--of it, and on either side of the river, was there the TREE OF LIFE, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the LEAVES (also a symbol)--of the tree were for the HEALING OF THE NATIONS.
So if these LEAVES heal the nations, they are the same thing as this water of this river; for the waters also healed the nations. See, it is all one symbolic language.
Glory to my God.
This is my second in the new series of the Scriptual symbols.  This is a very good study.  It would do all of you well to study out these symbols.  If you wish to 'study to show thyself approved unto God'  you should study this symbolical language of the Word.  Otherwise,  you will forever read the Scripture as a natural, carnal book.  You will never see the spiritual truth.
I would say to people like Tom Doley who continually curses me for teaching the word,  when are you going to bring forth teachings which show us how to understand the Word?  You should spend your time teaching much needed truth instead of damning those of us (male or female) who are busy trying to help others see the glory of His Word.
GEN 6   And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. ( These waters are the river that you were reffering to as nations, kingdoms, or people. So this is what God was dividing here.
Rev. 17; And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are PEOPLES, AND MULTITUDES, AND NATIONS, AND TONGUES.
10   And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.( also showing this river to be people,nation,or kingdom
Exactly, Isaiah.  This is what learning the symbols does for one;  they can then discern the true hidden meanings of the Word.
Now, I would just like to see old Tom Doley bring us some teachings proving HE  has the spirit of truth.  Wouldn't you?
Well,  just let him keep stewing while we go on into the kingdom.
Jo, sent by Jesus
