(I received this from my brother who is a computer technician.)
Below is an email that I received. I have called Earthlink and learned that this is a fraudulent email. It looks so official, but when I clicked on the link, I noticed that it was requesting ALL information about me including email address, password, credit card and bank information. It also was not on a SECURE site indicating that the information could be retrieved by anyone. That prompted me to call Earthlink since I could not understand why they would need this since the information had been provided before. Click on the link and see how official it looks.
Earthlink was aware of these type of emails and stated they have located some sites sending them and shut them down.
WARNING!!! PLEASE be careful of anyone asking for this type of information from you. Never?NEVER give out this information over the 'net. PERIOD!!!!
