Johnny Angel Recommended by: Monette922 By: Danielle Steel Publisher: Dell Date Published: June 2004 About This Book I just saw a review of a book by Danielle Steel called "Johnny Angel". If you have read it, tell us what you thought about it. This was the review listed on the Wal-Mart site: In her 58th bestselling novel, Danielle Steel tells the breathtaking story of a mother's love and a son's gift, of the tragedy that nearly destroyed a family...and the miracle that saved them. With a word or a smile, seventeen-year-old Johnny Peterson could light up a room. A star athlete and class valedictorian, Johnny's future was brilliant--until he stepped into a car on prom night and, in an instant, the shining future ended, his life over. Johnny's family and sweetheart, Becky, must struggle to put together the pieces of their shattered lives. But amid the heartache, something miraculous is about to happen that will alter the course of each of their lives. When a sudden illness strikes Johnny's mother, Alice, a glorious vision comes to her in her dreams. There, standing before her, is Johnny, gently urging his bewildered mother to be strong for her family. For Alice, seeing her son again is a miracle she can't quite believe. In the weeks to come, Johnny will appear in the most unlikely places, visible only to the two people who need him most: his nine-year-old brother, locked in a silent world, whose special needs Johnny always seemed to understand...and his mother, who has always nurtured her family but who now needs a guardian angel of her own. Through a season of healing, Johnny will guide those he left behind out of their grief, leaving miracles in his wake that will change them all forever. He brings with him, and leaves behind, the blessings of laughter, love, and hope. An unforgettable story of loving and letting go, of mixed blessings and second chances, Johnny Angel is a celebration of life, hope, and forgiveness. It will make you laugh and cry...and hold your loved ones just a little bit closer. | Reviews by Other Members Pringle33/Jackie Just this last weekend my daughter was kind enough to buy this book for me while we were out running errands. I can say that it is everything that the release said that it is. The only violence was the accident that killed Johnny.
It made me cry and showed just what a guardian angel is all about. He was there to tell his Mom that she was going to be okey and so was the rest of the family. Danielle Steel is one of my most favorite author's so I have read all or should I say most of her books and have a collection of them. I reread them when I just can't find anything else to read.
If you read the book I hope that each of you enjoy it and realize that each of us have that guardian angel to talk to and that will look after all of us.
