A Tree They Can Eat

WHAT YOU NEED

* 12-inch Styrofoam cone
* Can of non-toxic green spray paint
* Pointed wooden skewer
* Toothpicks
* 2 bags of Red, Green and Gold foil wrapped NESTLÉ JINGLES (NESTLÉ CRUNCH, BUTTERFINGER, NESTLÉ Milk Chocolate or NESTLÉ Dark Chocolate)
* Holiday curling ribbon
* Scissors

HOW TO DO IT

* Following directions on the can, spray the Styrofoam cone green.

* Adults only, insert and remove the wooden skewer into the bottom of each JINGLE to create an easy opening for inserting toothpicks.

* Insert a toothpick into the center of the bottom of each JINGLE. (Do a few at a time, until you know exactly how many you will use).

* Starting at the bottom of the cone, begin placing the JINGLES around the cone by inserting the exposed end of the toothpick into the Styrofoam.

* Do a couple of rows of all green foil wrapped JINGLES, then begin to add a red foil wrapped JINGLE here and there to simulate red ornaments.

* Continue up the cone until complete.

* Curl an approximately 24-inch long strand of ribbon, gather at the middle, place on top of tree and secure to the very top of the cone with a gold foil-wrapped JINGLE.

FOLLOW UP FUN

* This cute and easy to make candy tree can serve as a table centerpiece and dessert all in one.

* Create a "forest" of JINGLES trees by making them in different sizes and/or colors, and grouping them together.

All activities should be parent supervised. Parents, please make sure that the tools and items needed for a project are appropriate for your child.
