"Missed It?"

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD..." Psalms 37:23a

I have a word for someone this morning... Don't try to second guess yourself.  You made a decision that you really believed was God, yet something else opened up afterwards, something that you had been hoping for for a long time.  Now that the opportunity has availed itself, you are committed to something else (this other thing).  You begin to feel like you "missed it", you feel like maybe that wasn't God after all, you start beginning to wonder if you should make another move.  Let me ask you... didn't you pray about it before you went in this other direction, and you truly believed it was God?  Then there should be no problem.  But there is because the enemy comes to try to make us second guess whether we really heard from God the first time.  He wants us to become distracted and confused so that we won't be affective where God put us.  God knew about this other thing before you did.  If He had wanted you there, He would not have told you to do this other.  (Am I making sense?)  Be aware of the devises of the enemy.  His job is to make us think that we have missed God's will.  His job is to play on our flesh and emotions, and present things to us that we want in order to cause us to turn aside.  Now you are all confused and full of regret.  Recognize what you are feeling is the enemy.  He is the author of confusion.  If you truly seek the Lord in the decisions you make and are committed to do His will, then He knows how to open and close doors in order to get you right where you need to be.... right where He needs you to be.

Have a great day.  Don't second guess yourself and try to convince yourself that maybe you missed God.
