Saving Grace

It's that time of the year again
When people regard the crucifixion.
Taking time but one day of the year
To honor the most precious Gift ever.

If only all people would truly realize
The Gift of the Savior on the cross,
Is not just one day to be revered,
But to celebrate all through the year.

Jesus came, lived and gave His life
To save mankind from eternal loss.
The sacrificial lamb for our sins
Crucified upon Calvary's cruel cross.

Only recognizing this gracious deed
For once a year, a time of reflection
Is but vain and an insincere action,
An irreverent exercise to the lord.

Make this day one of commitment,
Humbly seek his amazing forgiveness,
Accept Jesus as your saving grace
And be baptized into His holy name.
