It's mighty wet in Texas today and we are due to have rain all week. That's ok, we need it. It sure has cooled down a good bit, thank heavens! It's 2 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 19 and it is 73 degrees .. much better than 104 degrees. Whew!

Buffy and her husband live near Tampa, Florida and Hurricane Fay was headed their way so they were preparing to evacuate but it changed course and went around them, thank God! I was worried about her and several other members who live in Florida. I hope everyone there is well.

Take care, Everybody, and drop us a note sometime. It's been so quiet here. I hope you have all had a good summer and are preparing for "Back to School" time. Have a good week. God bless you all.

Here in Hawaii we have been back to school since the 28th of July.

We only had 6 weeks of summer vacation.

I think that might be changed the next school year.

Hello there from Canada, where our summer is busy coming and going! Today was

a beautiful day. Not too hot and not raining. The 'Captain' and I have been busy

pruning all day trees, hedge etc. Now we have to get rid of the mess... We have the

pickup truck full already. I'm sure glad I don't live where the hurricanes come. I'm so

glad Buffy and members are safe. Monee, glad it is cooler for you.. Kalani you sure

do go back to school earlier than us. Bye the way, my grandaughter Gabrielle and I

are plannin on coming to Honolulu possibly in June of next year for her graduation

present. We are doing a 'busman's' holiday. Saving our airmiles and spending money.

Is June a very hot month to come? She graduates in May/09. Anyway, a little ways

away yet. Well, I had better get outside and help finish tidying the front yard.

Wow.... only 6 weeks of summer vacation. I would hate that. I don't feel like I had any summer at all with taking the classes. Just a week more to go until my next one starts. Haven't been to the beach once this year. It has been a really bad summer. We always start after Labor Day. Geordie is going back to the regular high school this year. Will be nice to have the house to myself again during the day.

Went to the doc on Friday and found out I have tendonitis in my arm from hitting my elbow about 2 mos. back. It had been hurting the whole time so thought I should go finally.Now I am wearing a brace on my arm for the next few weeks. Supposed to avoid the computer but oh well! LOL

Got LOADS of eBay stuff to list. Hoping to sell like crazy before Christmas. We could use the $$$!

Cooler here, too. We have finally turned the a/c's off and enjoying the fresh air again. I love fall when it gets really cold at night.

Hello Monette, and everyone,

We are doing ok down here in Florida. Yes Thank God Hurricane Fay did not come near our Tampabay area.. I just got back from New Jersey was there for a Class Reunion. We had so much fun and had a great turn out. Hope you all had a great summer. I am looking forward to cooler weather here in the fall and winter. Well i need to get some sleep. I work tomorrow. Will talk to you all later.
