OH, I never did tell you that I went to Lexie's 2nd birthday party on Saturday, Sept. 27. She was so cute and had so much fun playing with her friends and opening presents that seemed to just keep coming. They all even had pony rides! We all had chili-cheese dogs, chips and dips, and of course birthday cake.

Now, here's where it gets interesting! I left on my way home (20 miles) and about half-way my car quit on me! The only place around was a liquor store about 1/2 mile ahead of me. I managed to coast into the driveway then went inside and called my daughter to come get me. So your manager spent about an hour in a liquor store that night and my car sat there all night! No, I didn't buy anything! Long story short .. Bonnie got my car to the shop the next day. The alternator had to be replaced. That was over $200 that I hadn't planned on spending. Soooo, I'm "passing the hat".

My daughter Cindy turned 50 on Oct. 12 and her daughters are treating her and her hubby to a 2-night stay at a beautiful Victorian Bed and Breakfast place in Missouri. They are leaving today (Tuesday) and will return home on Thursday. Isn't that a thoughtful thing for them to do? I gave her a new jacket. She hasn't been here yet to see her birthday posts but I'm sure she will see them soon and respond. Thank you to those who posted Happy Birthday greetings to her.

My granddaughter Ginny's 21st birthday is Sunday, Oct. 19. She has Ethan who is 15 months old and

NEWS FLASH

she is expecting another boy in early March! That will be my 7th great-grandchild! I have another granddaughter, Heather, in Delaware who is expecting her 3rd child, a girl, in mid-January. Gee, these kids are making me OLD!
